Technology projects these days are pursued under many constraints: budget, time, and available resources. To meet these needs companies must often compromise in some areas; as the budget very often defines scope, time and resources must be flexible. This leads many companies to explore project outsourcing, but this is only one of many options.
Project outsourcing enables companies to offload complete projects on to remote teams. In some cases this freeing of local resources can relieve personnel stress but it can also relieve financial stress, as market inequalities between countries can mean reduced cost. However if extreme care is not taken these outsourced projects may not meet standards and expectations, leading to additional effort when receiving the finished project.
